Think you know what’s inside a writer’s brain? Take a peek into mine as I lay out my writing process for my ebook, The Grapes of Dementia. Hint: it was awfully messy.
But what’s inside the mind of a writer? A memoir writer, to be specific.
Writing my memoir, The Grapes of Dementia: My Story of Love, Loss, Surrender, and Gratitude, was difficult. Maybe as difficult as going through the experience I wrote about. Maybe even as difficult as walking through hell to heal the trauma of both the experience and the writing of it.
It took me 10 years to write Grapes, including timeouts for healing. And now I’m honored to be able to share some of my writing process with you in a recent interview featured on Chris Cooper’s blog in the series “Magnification of One Memory in Memoir.”
